CKI Announces Re-Designation and Appointment of Directors

The Board of Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited ("CKI" or the "Company") announced today that Mr Kwan Bing Sing, Eric, will retire from his position as Deputy Managing Director and Executive Director of the Company in early 2007. Following his retirement, Mr Kwan will continue to be a Non-executive Director of the Company.
At the same time, Mr Andrew John Hunter, currently the Vice President of International Operations of CKI, has been appointed as an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Company, with effect from 1st December, 2006. Under this capacity, Mr Hunter will oversee the Company's overseas operations, especially in regard to business interests in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Mr Lambert Leung, Chief Executive Officer of CKI Materials, Mr Bernard Lun, Head of China Infrastructure, and Ms Joanna Chen, Head of Business Development, will continue to supervise CKI's infrastructure materials business, Mainland China operations, and business development respectively.
Mr Victor Li, Chairman of CKI, commented: "On behalf of the Board of CKI, I would like to thank Mr Kwan for his valuable contributions to CKI and the Cheung Kong Group over the years. Mr Kwan was one of the founding members of the CKI team who witnessed the Company's listing and its growth in the past 10 years. From being a Hong Kong and Mainland China focused company, CKI's investments and operations now span the globe, encompassing key markets such as Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada, in a diverse range of industries."

In addition, Mr Li stated: "CKI welcomes Mr Hunter to the Board. We have benefited from his advice since he joined the Company as Vice President of International Operations earlier this year. His many years of experience with the Cheung Kong Group will stand him in good stead for his new position at CKI."
Mr Andrew John Hunter will continue his role as the Chief Financial Officer of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited and an Executive Director of Hongkong Electric Holdings Limited ("HKE"). Prior to his appointment to the Board of HKE in 1999, Mr Hunter was the Finance Director of the Hutchison Property Group. He holds a Master of Arts degree and a Master's degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has over 23 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
