CKI Wins International Stevie Award For Best Multinational Company In Asia

Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited ("CKI" or the "Group") has received the International Stevie Award for Best Multinational Company in Asia (China, Japan and Korea) at The 2008 International Business Awards.

The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business awards programme honoring great performances in business. Named the Stevie after the Greek word "crowned", recipients of 2008 International Stevie Award trophies were selected from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 30 countries.

Mr H L Kam, Group Managing Director of CKI, commented: "We, at CKI, are pleased to win the International Stevie Award for Best Multinational Company in Asia (China, Japan and Korea). Over the past decade, CKI has evolved from a Hong Kong/ Mainland China focused company into a significant infrastructure player internationally, with projects spanning not only Hong Kong and Mainland China, but also Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Canada."

Mr Kam continued: "Our diversified investments have supported continued profit growth over the years and have helped us to achieve ever-improving returns for our shareholders. Last year, we recorded profit growth of 30% to reach HK$4.8 billion on the back of strong operating performances in all businesses."

Mr Kam expressed: "This Award has given us great encouragement, re-affirming our performance. With no net debt at the corporate level and a strong financial foundation, CKI continues to seek new investments and projects that will further strengthen our portfolio and enhance our performance."

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected International Stevie winners from among the Finalists, which were determined by volunteer judges around the world during two months of preliminary judging.
